Donaval Avila Earns 2.7 Euro-Grade After Strong Las Vegas Combine

Donaval Avila entered the 2026 Euro-Grades Men’s Las Vegas Basketball Combine with an extensive basketball background. He left the event with something even more important for the next stage of his career: a 2.7 Euro-Grade and an overseas-ready professional projection.

The 6’3″, 205-pound guard competed in the combine’s Group A while bringing experience from Westminster University and the Guatemala National Team. His international résumé listed production of 25.7 points per game entering the evaluation.

Throughout the combine, Avila separated himself with his ability to attack defenders one-on-one, create offense inside the arc and use his physical frame effectively from the guard position.

Before Westminster University, Avila played at Utah State Eastern, where he started 23 games during the 2019-20 season and averaged 8.64 points and 3.1 rebounds while recording 30 steals and 10 blocked shots.

He later continued his collegiate career at Westminster University. The 6’3″ guard was listed as a fifth-year player from Petal, Mississippi.

His international connection runs deeper than basketball. Avila’s family is originally from Livingston, Guatemala, adding another dimension to his opportunity to represent Guatemala internationally.
